Lady Eagles Lose Close Contest to RMU |

Fall to 0-3 on the Season
The Rhema Lady Eagles showed their resolve in a hard-fought loss Thursday night at the Ninowski Recreation Center. Midway through the second half, Rhema was down 17 points to an athletic Robert Morris squad. The Lady Eagles (0-3) fought back to cut the deficit to single digits, but ran out of time, falling by a score of 56-47.
The Lady Eagles outshot RMU from the floor (38 percent to 28 percent) and held a narrow rebounding advantage (42 to 41), but RMU took advantage of Rhema’s turnovers. Robert Morris outscored the Lady Eagles in points off turnovers 21-12.
The Lady Eagles were led by freshman Vanessa Zailo, who recorded her first double-double of her career. She scored 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting and grabbed 17 rebounds, both season highs. Zailo has now pulled 46 rebounds in her first three games, averaging 15.3 per contest. In limited action because of foul trouble, Candace Tripke scored eight points, grabbed five rebounds, and blocked two shots. Jessica Davis added six points, five rebounds, five steals, two blocked shots, and two assists.
