Lady Eagles Earn ACCA Awards

Women's BasketballBrim First-Team All-American, Daniel Honorable Mention, Davis Named David Terry Award Winner

RHEMA Lady Eagles’ freshman forward Hannah Brim was named ACCA first-team all-American and sophomore guard Kayna Daniel was named honorable mention at the ACCA Awards Banquet on Wednesday night in Bethany, Oklahoma. Junior Jessica Davis was honored with the David Terry Award, the highest honor given by the ACCA.

Brim led the Lady Eagles in scoring this season with 22.3 points per game on 50.2 percent shooting from the floor, 44.9 percent shooting from three-point range, and 82.7 percent shooting from the free-throw line. She scored at least 20 points in 18 of the Lady Eagles 26 games. She also averaged 4.2 rebounds per contest. Her best performance came in an 81-80 upset win over Bacone College when she posted career-highs in points (32) and rebounds (11).

Daniel was third on the team in scoring with 17.1 points per game. As a point guard, she led the team with 6.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.4 steals per game. She also led the Lady Eagles with six double-doubles, including a 29-point, 11-rebound performance in a win over North Arkansas College.

Davis was honored with the David Terry Award. This award is given to the student-athlete that shows not only talent on the court, but a heart for Christ and Christian service. Arguably the scrappiest player on the court each game, Davis, a 5’7” guard, could be seen boxing out the opponent’s biggest player or diving for loose balls. She was second on the team in assists, third in steals, and fourth in rebounding
