Eagles Drop Close Contest in Season Finale

Eagles GuyTurnovers Hamper Valiant Effort

The RHEMA Eagles shot 55 percent from the floor, outrebounded their opponent by nine, and scored 91 points, but turnovers and a lack of scoring from the free-throw line proved to be too much to overcome in a 96-91 loss to Champions College.

RHEMA committed 21 turnovers and was outscored 24-8 from the charity stripe in the five-point loss.
Sophomore forward Robert Sanders led the Eagles with a career-high tying 35 points and 10 rebounds, his ninth double-double of the year. Michael McGhee grabbed his first double-double of the year, scoring 13 and pulling down 11 boards. He also dished out four assists. Freshman guard Caleb Bartel scored a career-high 15 points, while Carl Dixon had a solid game with 12 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Sophomore center Andrew Hamm chipped in with 10 points in the losing effort.
