Lady Eagles Take Overtime Thriller With Four Players
Despite finishing with only four players, the RHEMA Lady Eagles won the 2010 ACCA National Championship with a thrilling 83-82 overtime victory Saturday night, March 6. The win, over Southwestern Christian University, marked the second ACCA title for the Lady Eagles in the last six years and the fifth overall title in 13 years.
On paper, the deck appeared to be stacked against RHEMA from the tipoff. The Lady Eagles suited up only six players, while two-time defending ACCA champion SCU boasted a lineup of 12. SCU was being led by the ACCA player of the year, riding a six-game winning streak, and playing in their home gym. But the game isn’t decided on paper. It’s decided on the court.

Brim First-Team All-American, Daniel Honorable Mention, Davis Named David Terry Award Winner
RHEMA Lady Eagles’ freshman forward Hannah Brim was named ACCA first-team all-American and sophomore guard Kayna Daniel was named honorable mention at the ACCA Awards Banquet on Wednesday night in Bethany, Oklahoma. Junior Jessica Davis was honored with the David Terry Award, the highest honor given by the ACCA.

Eagles Drop Close Contest in Season Finale |
Turnovers Hamper Valiant Effort
The RHEMA Eagles shot 55 percent from the floor, outrebounded their opponent by nine, and scored 91 points, but turnovers and a lack of scoring from the free-throw line proved to be too much to overcome in a 96-91 loss to Champions College.
