Turnovers Hamper Valiant Effort
The RHEMA Eagles shot 55 percent from the floor, outrebounded their opponent by nine, and scored 91 points, but turnovers and a lack of scoring from the free-throw line proved to be too much to overcome in a 96-91 loss to Champions College.
RHEMA committed 21 turnovers and was outscored 24-8 from the charity stripe in the five-point loss. Sophomore forward Robert Sanders led the Eagles with a career-high tying 35 points and 10 rebounds, his ninth double-double of the year. Michael McGhee grabbed his first double-double of the year, scoring 13 and pulling down 11 boards. He also dished out four assists. Freshman guard Caleb Bartel scored a career-high 15 points, while Carl Dixon had a solid game with 12 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Sophomore center Andrew Hamm chipped in with 10 points in the losing effort.
