The Eagles started the season off strong—defeating the fourteenth-ranked team in the NAIA and upsetting an NCAA Division II school for the first time in RBTC school history. But during the middle of the Eagles’ schedule, the team lost four out of five games at the final buzzer.
Many teams would struggle to regroup after suffering such discouraging losses, but not the RHEMA Eagles. The resolve of this determined squad showed as they bounced back and finished the season strong. “This is a special group of guys. They have been a pleasure to coach. They are committed to God and an inspiring group of young men. They are a talented both on and off the court. They play musical instruments, sing, preach, and testify. It’s rewarding to coach these guys because friendships and relationships have been formed.”—Coach Perry Shockley |
